Some people are trying to build their own TB-303 clone either because none of the actual hardware TB-303 clones doesnt reach what they are looking for, or because those clones are sometimes too expensive for just being a 303 clone.
Daniel Schmidt's DS-603

Daniel is a 303 freak from Australia, home of the DevilFish ! His clone project is called DS-603 and as you can see above it's a non-finished project.
The DS-603 actually uses some circuitry borrowed from the Moog Rogue as well, so it's not exactly a clone. It's all just on prototype bread boards, so it falls apart a bit :-). A software sequencer is required to use it. In addition, Daniel has a sort of 909/808/606 drum machine going as well. He plans to finally build the 303 and 606 together into one unit (hence the 603) when he gets the time.
You can mail him if you want more details.
Django's DJ303

Django from Holland is also an electronic fan and a 303 fan as well ! His clone project is called DJ303.
You can get sound and infos about it if you fly to : http://fly.to/esi
Jesp's CB-303

He is from spain and designs his own analog devices : the CB-303 (TB-303 midi clone) and the CR-Drum machine (based on the TR serie).
I didnt hear any sample from the CB-303, but try to check his web pages at http://www.galeon.com/jesp/index.htm to find out what's new and happening there !
Ranzigeventjes' clone

Some guys from Holland are soldering here and there to make another clone. This one seems to be controlled with a computer software for sequencing.
For more infos check the web site at : http://www.ranzigeventjes.com
Oakley Sound Systems' TB3030

A balanced output, an overdrive/distortion circuit, filter FM, a sub octave generator, VCA decay control and a accented decay control, some of the pots now cover a wider range, the unit also incorporates a circuit that allows a velocity CV to control slide and accent : that's the features of Oakley Sound System's TB3030, a TB-303 clone project in a rack.
The picture above shows the DUAL-TB303 unit, two 303 in a rack.

You could find the schematics and complete informations there, plus price and availability. Thanks to Tonny for the infos !
The guys of RESONANCE are building the midi engine to fit the forthcomming TB3030M. They also have a dedicaced TB3030 Homepage with lots of good samples (wave files) with saw/square/accented/non-accented/sequences exemples of the TB3030.
Here are a few samples (sequences) of the TB3030 in action :
Sequence-1.wav
[100ko]
Sequence-2.wav [94ko]
Sequence-3.wav [189ko]
Sequence-4.wav [100lo]
Sequence-5.wav [106ko]
CARLO FABER's TB-303 PRO clone
Carlo is from Germany and contacted me fall 97. He sent me a few acid waves music files which were quite impressive. I asked him for a few more and a picture of is home made clone.
He now has a web site for his TB-303 PRO project at : http://members.xoom.com/Mr_Crushy/index.htm featuring schematics, informations, hints, mod of the original TB-303 etc..., a VERY informative site !!
Here are a few wave files for your enjoyment :
He wants to release his TB-303 PRO on the music market, but not with the current look. He wants a full featured analog synth in a box, with a sequencer. But he want to keep it cheap, around DM 280, with configurable look ...
You can contact him by clicking on his name on the title.
Personal opinion : great job, great sound, nice bass response and close to the original beast !
Chris is from Germany. He doesnt call himself a clone-builder, but his MK-303 project his quite a 303 clone ! He is working on it with his brother. It has a standard two-waves VCO, a 24db filter with full resonance (unlike the TB-303), the same controls as the TB and the sequencer with 8 programable patterns of 16 steps !
I didnt heard the sound of this MK-303 so I cant judge, but soon you'll get waves files here !
Check their Web page for future development at : http://www-public.tu-bs.de:8080/~y0005378/303.html
